Coaching. The skill that makes people feel heard, builds genuine trust, and shifts the culture around you.
Recognize where you are. See where you're going.
Coaching-led leadership creates change in any environment where people, culture, and performance matter. If you lead, influence, or support people in high-stakes environments, this is for you.
Dr. Megan Tranter spent years at the most senior levels of global EHS leadership: Global Vice President EHS at PepsiCo, Global Director at Amazon, and Senior Director at Netflix, before founding the Institute for Safety Coaching & Leadership. She is a former university lecturer at undergraduate and masters level in Australia and Hong Kong, and an ICF Credentialed Coach who has coached leaders across some of the world's largest organizations. She built this program to teach what those years actually taught her.
Each element builds on the last, from foundational mindset shifts to applied strategic leadership. Click any element to expand.
The foundation for everything that follows. You'll learn what coaching-led safety leadership is (and is not), when to coach and when to direct, and how to select the right stance in the moment, with real scenarios and language you can use at work straight away.
The practical skills to structure, contract, and conduct coaching-led conversations in real safety contexts. You'll practice evidence-based frameworks and build the inquiry skills that shift conversations toward genuine ownership and learning.
You can't coach what you don't understand. This element gives you the behavioral and psychological foundations to work with defensiveness, reduce friction, and improve the conditions in which decisions get made.
Culture changes when people feel safe enough to speak. This element gives you the micro-practices and dialogue tools to build psychological safety, strengthen speaking-up behaviors, and turn everyday work into genuine learning.
Safety culture doesn't change through individual conversations alone. This element gives you the systems lens and influence strategies to identify real leverage points, lead through resistance, and build lasting commitment, without coercion.
Take everything you've built and make it operational. Not just "I can coach in a conversation", but embedding coaching-led practice into the way work actually gets done, measuring whether it's working, and communicating impact in the language leaders care about.
Both programs award an ISCL certificate. The full certificate is jointly badged with NEBOSH. Both deliver real skills you can use immediately. And they stack. Complete Coaching Skills for Safety Leadership, then upgrade to the full certificate at any time. The next cohort begins Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Take our 2-minute Coaching-Led Leadership Diagnostic and find out exactly where your leadership stands, and what a coaching-led approach would change.

Students enrolling in Coaching Skills for Safety Leadership join the same program as Full Certificate students and exit after Element 3 with their standalone credential. Upgrades to the full certificate can be completed in any subsequent program. Contact support@isclinstitute.org with questions.
Your completion is documented and recognized. Here's exactly what each pathway awards.
This is the first and only coaching-led safety leadership program NEBOSH has verified. The full 6-week certificate has been reviewed and verified by NEBOSH against their quality standards for professional safety education. Full certificate participants receive a jointly badged ISCL/NEBOSH certificate. This is a program-level verification and does not constitute a standalone NEBOSH qualification. Completing the full 38-hour certificate also satisfies the coaching training hours for the ISCL Affiliate Safety Coach (AfSC) and Accredited Safety Coach (AcSC) designations.
CPD recognition varies by professional body and individual circumstances. IOSH, BCSP, AIHS, and most professional safety bodies accept structured training hours for CPD purposes, but ISCL cannot guarantee recognition by any specific body. Participants are responsible for confirming eligibility with their professional body before enrolling. Contact support@isclinstitute.org with questions.
Many professionals have their enrollment funded through L&D or professional development budgets. Here's everything you need to build a convincing case to your manager or HR team.
We can provide a formal invoice addressed to your organization, a program overview document for internal approval, and a letter of enrollment confirmation. Just ask: support@isclinstitute.org
